EDF: 189.9 TWh of nuclear generation in the first half of 2026
Published on 31 July 2026, the results show an 8 TWh increase in nuclear generation in France and €350 million mobilised for electrification.
On 31 July 2026, EDF published its half-year results. Group generation reached 262.1 TWh, including 189.9 TWh of nuclear generation in France, up 8 TWh on the first half of 2025.
Revenue stood at €57.4 billion, EBITDA at €14.1 billion and net income Group share at €5.2 billion. Operating cash flow reached €2.6 billion and net financial debt €51.5 billion, i.e. a ratio of 1.8 times EBITDA.
The board of directors, meeting on 30 July 2026 under the chairmanship of Bernard Fontana, approved the consolidated financial statements for the period ended 30 June 2026.
To mark its 80th anniversary, the Group is mobilising €350 million to accelerate electrification in housing and buildings, transport and industry, with the stated aim of contributing to the competitiveness, sovereignty and decarbonisation of the economy.
On the outlook, 2026 EBITDA is expected to fall by around 10% compared with 2025, in a context of falling market prices and heatwaves. Nuclear generation in France is estimated at 350-370 TWh in 2026 and 2027, then 345-375 TWh in 2028, with a target of more than 400 TWh of available output.
